a healthy take on the tamagotchi formula
at the start of 2024, my sister and her husband visited me in Lisbon and, with them, were my two lovely & whacky nieces.
I soon found out that maria, the oldest one, was really into Tamagotchi.
she had recieved one for xmas and brought it with her. I enquired her and her parents about how it worked and wondered if it would be a fun assignment to make my own version of it.
I kept the original concept of being an interactive experience about care; but I wanted to make it educational, as well as making the character a bit more independent. that was the idea, at least.
maria made the art for all the different character models (digital pen on Aseprite). she is also the one responsible for setting their diet;
